Halloween

For some insane reason I volunteered to help out for Alex's 1st grade Halloween Party at school. I brought a craft where we made spiders out of cups and pipe cleaners.

Alex helped me set up...he was SO excited to have Mom there with him.

We snuck down to Braxton's 4th grade class to say hi and this is the look we got!! Man oh man! So of course i walked in and gave him a big hug in front of all his friends. Love you Brax!

At least he posed with Alex for a picture...then was gone again in .2 seconds!

I got to eat lunch with Alex and his class too...they had the lights off and just had some black lights so it was spooky!! All the lunch ladies were dressed up as Minions...it was super cute.

Back to the party....I had groups of 5-6 kids come through for 10 min rotations for THREE HOURS!!
It all went great, my craft was a hit, and I had a blast with all the kids but WOW that was one whirlwind!

Minibowl 2013

Braxton's Warrior Team made all season and through all the playoff games remaining undefeated. Next step was the MiniBowl!!

They played Syracuse at Weber State University...which was a pretty big stadium for them, compared to the normal fields their age plays on.

Braxton, his whole team, and of course all the families were so excited!!

The Warriors didn't win, but it was sure fun watching them get this far and watching them play at the MiniBowl! What great experience for Brax. We are so proud of him and his team.

Go Warriors!

Wresting Camp 2013

Weber High School had a week long wrestling camp, we signed Alex up so he could check wrestling out and see what he thought and if it's something he wants to do.

The boy in black is Kash one of Alex's best friends...how cute are they!!

Everyone got a medal for participating!

Alex got sick during this week so he missed half the camp...not sure he really has a full understanding of wrestling yet, but we'll see what he thinks.

North View Open House

Every year North View Fire Department has an open house for the kids where they get to check take a ride in a fire truck and other fun things.

We met up with Nikki, Marcie, and Jenny and all the kids...it was a fun time.

We even got to see Ryan!!! He use to work dispatch with us and now is North View's new Fire Marshall!!!

They always have LifeFlight and AirMed land and take off and let the kids check out the helicopters...Pretty cool if you ask me!

The guy standing there is Hailey's dad...i think he was enjoying the helicopters too!

1st Grade Blog

Alex's teacher Mrs.Larson does a pretty amazing job of taking pictures and videos of special things they do in the class. She has a blog too and updates it pretty often...check it out. It's pretty stinking cute to see Alex in his class.

Sports Saturdays

Not sure what i'm going to do when October is over and we don't have two games to go to ever Saturday.

It sure is starting to get pretty chilly in the mornings though and Alex's games are pretty early, usually 8 or 9am. Alex just happen to have a bright orange beanie that worked perfect with his Lava uniform until he warmed up a bit.

Then it was off to Braxton's football game...the first playoff game against Layton. I guess Layton has had their eye on Brax's Warrior team so they learned their numbers and who are the players to watch and what kind of plays they use. So the team switched things up last minute and they all swapped jerseys so they wouldn't have their normal numbers. So for this game Brax was #39.

Brax is right in the middle on the next two pictures

They won 12-2!!! How cute are they enjoying the victory!

Next playoff game will be this next Sat against another Layton team.

Huntsville Half 2013

I've been back in the running groove really great this year. I normally don't do a whole lot of races and mostly just focus on running on my own. However, I lost a bet and as a result I ended up running the Huntsville Half Marathon in the upper valley. I ended up loving it and having a fantastic fun. I trained great for it and was well prepared. My goal was to finish in 2 hrs and 30 mins and i finished in 2 hrs 25 mins so i was very happy!!

I couldn't resist sharing this picture of me crossing the finish line...HAHAHAHA. I really pushed myself the last mile and ran hard, i'm guessing I was taking a deep breath but it looks pretty hilarious!
